Among the 17 cars at the Maruti Suzuki pavilion at the 2020 Auto Expo, the most important ones will be the Futuro-e Concept, Vitara Brezza and Ignis facelift and of course, the Jimny.
The 2020 Auto Expo is exactly a week away and Maruti Suzuki is going to have quite an exciting stand at this year’s Expo. Maruti Suzuki have announced that they will be displaying a total of 17 cars at their pavilion.
One of the main highlights and one we are looking forward to with a lot of anticipation is the Maruti Futuro-e SUV-Coupe concept. Maruti has only shown us a teaser image of this concept and it looks unlike any Maruti you have ever seen before. That’s something we are certainly waiting to check out in flesh.
The two other important cars at Maruti Suzuki’s stand will be the Vitara Brezza facelift with a new petrol engine and the Ignis facelift. Both these cars will also see their launch at the 2020 Auto Expo. Maruti Suzuki will also debuting the S-Cross petrol at the 2020 Auto Expo and its diesel version will simultaneously be discontinued. Along with this, also on display will be rest of Maruti’s all-petrol line-up, including the Japan-spec Swift Hybrid, Celerio, S-Presso, Wagon R, Swift, Dzire, Baleno, Ertiga, Ciaz S and XL6.

You you have been reading carefully, you will have noted that’s only 14 cars mentioned above. And although Maruti Suzuki hasn’t said it specifically in their statement, we can tell you that the forth-gen Suzuki Jimny will also be a part of Maruti Suzuki’s 17 car lineup at the 2020 Auto Expo. The Jimny is renowned around the world for its off-road ability and while there is no word from Maruti if this car will ever go on sale in India, enthusiasts out there should certainly be looking forward to check it out in flesh for the first time in India.

To give you a recap of things, the Maruti Futuro-e Concept is anew SUV-coupe concept (the first of its kind from Maruti Suzuki) that previews what essentially will be a rival for the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos. The production version of the Futuro-e is still some time away though. What is surely going on sale right after the Auto Expo are the Vitara Brezza petrol facelift, the S-Cross petrol and the Ignis facelift. While the S-Cross is likely to only switch to the 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine (which will also power the Brezza), the Vitara Brezza and Ignis are expected to get revised styling and more features.
