Maruti Suzuki Ertiga to soon get a premium derivative with more features!

The new premium derivative of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will be sold through the automaker’s Nexa dealerships outlets and is going to get more features.

Maruti Suzuki is soon going to introduce an all-new MPV in the Indian market. This MPV is going to sit above the Ertiga in terms of pricing and is going to retail through its Nexa dealership outlets. Though this MPV is going to be based on the Ertiga, it is going to get a different name in order to differentiate it from the former. This new people carrier is expected to launch in India sometime during the second half of 2019.

In addition to getting a new nameplate, this new MPV will get a number of cosmetic alterations as well. These changes will include a sporty body kit, new grille, revised bumpers and a new set of alloy wheels along with LED daytime running lights. In addition to these, this new Ertiga based MPV will also get a substantial amount of feature upgrade as well.

In addition to cometic revisions and added features, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga based MPV is going to come exclusively in a 6-seater variant. Its prices will fall in-between the range of INR 8.5 lakh to INR 12 Lakh (ex-showroom). With this, it is going to fall in direct competition with the Mahindra Marazzo.

The engine line-up of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga based premium MPV is going to remain the same as that of the standard iteration. The petrol derivative will be a 1.5-litre unit, while the diesel engine is a 1.5-litre engine. The same is not going to come with a 1.3-litre diesel engine. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual gearbox along with an automatic transmission.
