Matte Black Tesla Cybertruck Spotted [Video]

A Matte Black Tesla Cybertruck has been surfaced online. The latest custom wrap offers a bold look and hides any panel warping.

Tesla Cybertruck is one of the most talked about Tesla vehicles. Since its launch, it has managed to gather headlines for its looks and build. Now, a Tesla Cybertruck with Matte Black wrapping has been spotted on a public road. The new look carries forward Tesla’s obsession with a ‘Matte black’ finish. Previously, the Tesla Cybertruck has been spotted with tongue-in-cheek Toyota Tacoma and Ford F-150 Lightning paint jobs. There has also been a digital camouflage version.

Matte Black Tesla Cybertrack Driven by Franz von Holzhausen

As you can see in the above video, the Matte Black Tesla Cybertruck looks very bold. It was driven by Tesla’s lead designer Franz von Holzhausen. The new wrap also manages to hide any panel warping and seems like the most market-ready version to date. While the texture can pick up fingerprints quickly, the flat colour easily hides minor defects/ potential production blemishes on the surface. The close-up shots prove that the Matte Black Cybertruck features the most uniform-looking body panels.

The quality of the Matte Black Tesla Cybertruck also hints that the company might offer the upcoming electric truck with multiple coloured wraps to cover up its flaws/ imperfections. While some reports claim that Tesla might offer first-party Cybertruck wraps from the factory, it might also opt for the colourful vinyl. Since the Cybertruck is mostly made of flat panels, the wrapping material would be cheaper to apply. The electric vehicle features a futuristic look and distinctive geometric design. It is made from stainless steel used in rockets.

Cybertruck Gets Over 1.8 Million Pre-Orders

According to Elon Musk, the Tesla Cybertruck will start shipping on November 30, 2023. The company is expected to hold a delivery event on the same date. However, it is to be noted that the Tesla Cybertruck pre-production units still don’t seem fully ready. Several onlookers have pointed out several issues including the fact that the panel gaps on the Cybertruck are “huge”. This means that the company is still working on the assembly line’s accuracy. It remains to be seen if it makes the expected deadline this time. Meanwhile, the reservation list exceeds 1.8 million prospective buyers.
