MG Comet EV vs Tata Tiago EV Comparison

MG Comet EV vs Tata Tiago EV Comparison

MG has launched Comet EV in the Indian market and it rivals the established Tata Tiago EV.

The MG Comet EV has been launched in India and the comparison with the Tata Tiago EV is warranted. MG has created excitement in the market with the budget city EV with a quirky design. It is a practical EV that aims to address the issue of rising maintenance costs due to an astronomical increase in fuel prices. On the other hand, Tiago is available in the ICE version for a long time now. Tata Motors have converted it to an EV by replacing the pollution-emitting engine with an electric motor assembly. Here is a detailed comparison.

Verdict

MG announced the variant-wise prices of the MG Comet and we must say they look quite attractive. If you are in the market for a sub- Rs 10 lakh EV for the top model, going for the Comet EV is not a bad idea at all. The top trim with all the bells and whistles is priced at Rs 9.98 lakh making for a great value-for-money preposition. On the other hand, if you want to stick to the familar Tiago in terms of features, safety, design, brand value and don’t mind spending Rs 12 lakh for the top trim, Tiago EV is a great choice too.
