MG Hector Dual-Tone Variants Launched – Price and Details!

MG has launched dual-tone variants of the Hector SUV, based on its top-spec Sharp trim and its price is just Rs 20,000 more than the standard Sharp variant, depending on the powertrain you opt for.

Last week, we reported to you that MG Motors will soon be launching new dual-tone color options on the Hector SUV. MG Motors has now officially launched the dual-tone color variants of the Hector SUV, with its price starting from Rs 16.84 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The dual-tone color options are available on both the petrol and diesel variants of the Hector but are solely based on the top-spec fully-loaded Sharp variant.

The dual-tone variants cost Rs 20,000 more than the standard Sharp variant for each of the powertrain options. The new dual-tone color option fetches the MG Hector a contrasting black finished roof, A pillars and wing mirrors. It is however only available with the Candy White and Glaze Red paint shades of the MG Hector. There are no other cosmetic changes on the SUV and the interiors along with the equipment list remains identical to the standard Sharp variant of the Hector.

As this dual-tone variant is based on the Sharp trim, the engine options have also been carried forward unchanged. That includes the 143hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 170hp 2.0-litre diesel engine. The turbo-petrol engine can be had in either standard or mild-hybrid spec. The non-hybrid turbo-petrol engine comes mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox while the mild-hybrid variant gets a 6-speed manual unit. The diesel engine is solely available with the 6-speed manual gearbox.

In terms of equipment, the Sharp variant already comes loaded with features such as a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Voice Command Assists, iSmart connectivity tech which offers almost 50 features, 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, ABS, EBD, 6 airbags, traction control system, hill hold assist, brake assist and more. Among its rivals, the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier and the Nissan Kicks are offered with dual-tone color options.

Bookings for the dual-tone Hector is currently ongoing on MG’s official website. MG Motors also recently launched a special anniversary edition of the Hector with some additional equipment, celebrating the completion of one year of the Hector in India. Going ahead, MG Motors is also expected to introduce the dual-tone color options on the Hector Plus SUV. As of now, MG Motors has the launch of the full-size seven-seater Gloster premium SUV coming up in the festive season.
