Michael Jordan recently brought home a super-exotic Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster worth a jaw-dropping $3.5 million. He has been away from the game for a while now but last year, he earned twice of what he won as a player for all these years combined. His nickname is “His Airness” after the sneakers series that is famous around the world. However, with the latest purchase, we might have to think of a new name as the Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster has a top speed of north of 300 mph! The 6-time NBA champion bought the limited edition model recently. The news was shared by the official Instagram handle of Hennessey. In fact, the post mentions that they made a special version for the iconic athlete. The hypercar is produced by Hennessey, which has been in business for over 30 years. Such a rare automobile suits well in the garage of a legend like Michael Jordan. As per reports online, he made an unbelievable $251 million last year without playing basketball which showcases his business prowess.

Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster

The Venom F5 is a hypercar which means that it has great aerodynamics and an ultra-light body. This is proved by the specifications of the hypercar highlighting the 0.39 Cd (Drag Coefficient). The chassis and body components are made up of carbon fiber which allows a huge weight reduction. Many components inside the cabin are also made up of carbon fiber resulting in a kerb weight of an incredible 1,385 kg despite the hypercar measuring over 4.66 m in length. Things like the ‘yoke’ steering wheel are made out of carbon fiber along with seats and other elements.

Powering this hypercar is a potent 6.6-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that makes a mad 1,817 hp and 2,192 Nm of peak power and torque. The transmission duties are carried by a semi-automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. In the FS mode, the red line is at a mind-numbing 8500 RPM. The front splitter and rear diffusor are made of carbon fiber, while both front and rear have Double wishbone independent with fully adjustable coil over Penske dampers. It has carbon ceramic brakes on all four wheels. Also, there are forged aluminium alloys – 19-inch at the front and 20-inch at the rear. This has to be among the most impressive hypercars in the world right now.
