New-Gen Maruti S-Presso Visualised

Maruti S-Presso is the smallest SUV in the country catering to the growing trend of SUVs at an affordable price point.

Maruti Suzuki could be planning the new-gen version of the S-Presso in our market but it has already been digitally visualised. Regarded as a micro-SUV in our market, S-Presso is a popular product among the people who live in semi-urban environments where an SUV is needed without shelling out big bucks to own one. That is reflected in its healthy monthly sales as well. But it is about time that Maruti introduced a facelifted version of it.

The render has been uploaded on Instagram by Malvinwsetiwan. This is quite a departure from the existing version that is sold in our market. As per the description of this image, this is an Indonesian digital artist. He/She has deployed a retro theme on the modern car which makes the overall appearance quite interesting. At the front, one can see the round headlamps with projector headlights and integrated LED DRLs and turn indicators. The grille between the headlights is very compact with a chrome frame.

The bumper wears this silver cladding making it stand apart from the crowd. In addition to that, the splitter at the bottom of the bumper is also finished in silver material. There are sculpted elements on either side of the bonnet like on big SUVs. Moving to the sides, the black alloy wheels and a massive orange and black side body cladding are the main highlights of the side profile. Apart from that, the side pillars are painted black to give it that floating roof effect which s quite common in modern cars.

Specs

Maruti had recently launched the updated S-Presso with new features. This facelifted S-Presso comes with the new next-gen K10C Dual Jet Dual VVT petrol engine that belts out a maximum of 66 hp and 89 Nm of power and torque respectively. There is the option of a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The refined engine enables a mileage of 25.30 km/l in Vxi(O)/Vxi+(O) AGS, 24.76 km/l in Vxi/Vxi+ MT and 24.12 km/l in Std/Lxi MT. Such high mileage figures are the prime reason why people opt for the S-Presso in particular and Maruti Suzuki products in general. This Maruti S-Presso ranges from Rs 4.25 lakh to Rs 5.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
