Maruti Swift is always a great sight to see on the Indian roads. Despite many iterations, it still looks cool and perfect size for India. Now, Suzuki Motor Corporation is bringing a new version of its successful model. Recently, it was photographed in Japan and the new images have offered a detailed look at the production model. In terms of design, the 4th-gen Maruti Swift has been modernized and looks a lot more muscular. In this article, let’s take a look at what to expect from a new version of the most popular hatchbacks in the Indian market.

According to the new images shared on Facebook by the Suzuki Swift Tuning page, the brand-new Swift gets a brand-new front bumper and a new front grille with black surrounds. The company has also added new LED headlights with integrated L-shaped LED DRLs. As you can see in the image of the rear left quarter panel, car has a dual-tone color finish. While the roof is finished in grey, the body is finished in white. There is a high-gloss black separation in between. On the back, the Suzuki has added new C-shaped LED taillights which are placed in a modern housing.

On the side, you can see a strong shoulder line running from the front to the back. It connects to the other side with the rear decklid. The high-gloss black-finished C-pillar is placed between the rear window and rear windshield.

The new model also gets brand-new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with a thick turbine-style design. You can see high-gloss black elements in between the spokes. The Japanese version in this picture has disc brakes on all four corners. Additionally, the hidden rear door handles are gone. The new model features more traditional door handles with request sensors on both front doors.

Interior

On the inside also, the new Swift gets a premium look with a dual-tone colour scheme. It gets a layered dashboard (as seen on premium models like Fronx, Baleno, and Brezza) with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The car also gets sleek rectangular AC vents instead of the old circular vents. The all-new 4th-gen Maruti Swift is also likely to come with a new automatic climate control system and support wireless Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto.

While the Japanese model even has a CD changer, it likely won’t be available in the Indian version. The new seats also look sportier. You can see black fabric upholstery with white stitching.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift Specs

All-new 4th-gen Maruti Swift Production Model Revealed In New Images

According to the latest reports, the all-new 4th-gen Maruti Swift will be powered by a new engine called Z12. The 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder engine is said to offer a mileage of 28-30 kmpl. It will replace the current 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder K-Series engine in the Indian models. The Japanese market will also get a hybrid system. The upcoming 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift is expected to arrive in the Indian market later this year. While there is no confirmation about its price yet, it is likely to cost upwards of Rs 6.50 Lakh.
