Going by our initial impressions, we believe that the new Honda Amaze 2018 promises to be a big improvement over the current generation model. For starters, it comes with a completely redesigned exterior profile along with an all-new cabin layout. In addition to this, the new Amaze offers a wide range of features onboard. Consequently, these factors promise to make 2018 Amaze a very strong contender in the compact sedan segment in India. To elaborate more on this, we have prepared a list of five points. This will give you a quick insight into what the all-new Amaze has to offer. Also, it will help you in understanding where this car stand against its competition.
New Honda Amaze 2018: 5 Quick points
First of all, we will talk about the new Amaze’s exterior profile. There is no doubt about the fact that this car now adorns of completely new design. You can easily identify that from the front, the new Amaze resembles quite a lot to the 2017 Honda city. Furthermore, from the sides, this compact sedan looks very premium thanks to the neat and simple design. In conclusion, the rear fascia looks very radical, thanks to stylish tail-lamps and augmented boot-lid.
The second most important aspect of the 2018 Honda Amaze is its cabin. The dashboard layout has its own unique design. That said, it does bear a certain resemblance to the one we see on the Honda CR-V. With our initial impression, we can say that the quality of the materials used is quite decent. The cabin is very roomy and airy. The seats will offer good support. Furthermore, the new Amaze will sport a decently sized boot.
The third most important point about the new Honda Amaze 2018 is its feature list. Some of the features that the new Amaze comes with are a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, push-button start-stop, reverse parking camera with sensors to name a few. In terms of safety, Honda will offer the Amaze with dual-front airbags with ABS and EBD as standard across the range.
The fourth point about the new Amaze is its engine line-up. With the update, Honda will continue with the same engine specifications for the Amaze as before. The petrol derivative will get the 1.2-litre i-VTEC motor. While the diesel derivative will get the 1.5-litre i-DTEC motor. Both the engine are going to get a 5-speed manual transmission as standard.
The fifth and the last most important point about the new Amaze is its price. We expect that Honda will not increase the prices by a huge margin with the update. Prices are likely to fall in the range of INR 5.5 Lakh to INR 8.5 Lakh. With this, the Amaze will compete against the likes of the Maruti Dzire, Ford Aspire and Hyundai Xcent along with the Tata Tigor.
