Hyundai recently opened bookings for the new Verna mid-size sedan as the March 21 debut nears. Prior to that, however, digital artists have commenced rendering their iterations of it.

The aesthetics of the new Hyundai Verna have been pretty much revealed in a new set of digital renderings by automobile enthusiasts. The official debut is slated for March 21 and the bookings are already underway with a token amount of Rs 25,000. Verna is a popular product in its segment that has the likes of the mighty Honda City, VW Virtus, Maruti Ciaz and Skoda Slavia. Although the SUVs have snatched a huge market away from sedans, the aforementioned vehicles have stood their ground quite impressively. With the new version coming up soon, Verna will stay strong going forward.

These digital illustrations come from Bagrawala Designs. They represent the latest design philosophy of the Korean carmaker. At the front, there is a sleek LED DRL light bar running across the width of the sedan, there is a colossal front grille finished in dark chrome that embodies the latest Parametric design pattern from Hyundai, the headlamps are neatly concealed on the edges of the grille, there is a sharp splitter under the bumper to protect the underbelly from scrapping. On the sides, there are angular creases on the door panels.

Apart from that, the alloy wheels are elegant and modern, the roof slopes down toward the rear and meets the integrated real spoiler on the boot lid. The shark fin antenna sticks out in the rear profile. One also sees a regular electric sunroof which is almost mandatory in modern cars, especially in a market like ours. The rear profile is complete with a sculpted boot, sharp LED taillamps and a sporty bumper. There is a clear indication of the modern design philosophy in this Verna, glimpses of which we might also encounter in the production-ready version.
