The Magnite has been a prominent volume churner for Nissan in India ever since its launch back in 2020
The new Nissan Magnite KURO special edition model has been launched in India with a starting price of Rs 8.31 lakh, ex-showroom. Magnite is among the most affordable compact SUVs in our market. In fact, that has been its USB since the beginning. People took a great liking to its value-for-money aspect. Moreover, Nissan has also exported it to many countries across the globe. This marks India as an eminent manufacturing hub. Over the years, there have been a few changes to the SUV to keep it fresh.
New Nissan Magnite KURO Launched
This special edition trim primarily focuses on the aesthetic alterations in comparison to the regular model. The main aspect is the all-black theme with blackened components for that sporty road presence. At the front, the grille and the background for the logo have been painted black, along with the bumper and the skid plate. To contrast it, we see sleek LED headlamps on the edge of the bonnet and stylish LED DRLs on the extreme edges of the bumper. Towards the sides, the black wheel arches and claddings, along with black side pillars and roof rails, elevate the sportiness even more. Finally, the rear section also contains a black bumper, skid plate, shark fin antenna and roof-mounted spoiler.
Similarly, there is a dark theme for the interior layout as well, including things like a black roof, steering wheel inserts, AC vents, sun visors, piano black centre console, door trims, etc. Some of the main attractions in terms of features are a 360-degree camera, a wireless charger, rear AC vents, wider auto-dimming IRVM, KURO-themed floor mats, a stealth dashcam (as an accessory), etc. The SUV continues to draw power from a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol mill in naturally aspirated and turbo guises, along with manual and automatic transmission alternatives. We also know that it boasts a full 5-star safety rating at the Global NCAP.
My View
Nissan is in the process of expanding its footprint in India. We know that a Creta-rivalling SUV based on the Duster is on the way. With special edition models like Magnite KURO, it wants to ensure that the potential buyers remain excited about something. That is a great strategy to tackle the ever-increasing competition in the market. Let us see how well the customers embrace this version of the Nissan Magnite.
