Renault is going to launch the new Kwid Facelift in India very soon, and now we have spied the Climber variant as well. Both will get new features and heavy cosmetic upgrades.
Renault is launching the Kwid Facelift in a couple of weeks, which will be its first major facelift since its launch in India. The new model will look similar to the electric Kwid that is available in the Chinese market.
Renault Kwid has Climber as a top-of-the-line variant, which gets some additional bits like roof rails, different bumper styling and such. The features were the same as of the Kwid RXZ top-spec trim.
Now, Gaadiwaadi has leaked the spy shots of Renault Kwid Climber Facelift, which can be differentiated with the help of roof rails. Further, it will get different body cladding as well as the interiors, compared to the regular Kwid.
At the front, it gets refreshed headlamps that are now placed inside the bumper and sharper LED DRLs, flanking the new and bigger front grille. The front and rear bumpers have also gone through some changes and it now gets C-shaped LED taillights.
Inside the cabin, you will get the bigger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment and the new digital speedometer, both from the Renault Triber. There are bits of orange inserts on the door, AC vents and the gear lever as well.
We are expecting that the new Renault Kwid Climber Facelift will be equipped with the 1.0 Litre BS-6 engine. In its current form, it produces 68 BHP and 91 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed MT and an AMT gearbox.
The Kwid Climber goes for Rs 4.55 Lakhs (MT) and Rs 4.85 Lakhs (AMT), right now and the facelift might see a price increase of around Rs 20,000 or so. The Climber will soon get a new rival, the Maruti S-Presso, which is set to be launched this month.
