Renault is revamping its entire portfolio with facelifts of its existing models, along with the addition of some new vehicles
The new Renault Triber facelift has officially been teased. Triber is among the most affordable and value-for-money 7-seat vehicles in the country. In fact, that has been its USP since the beginning. In a price-conscious market like India, cars like the Kwid, Triber and Kiger have done extremely well. The French auto giant is taking things forward with facelift versions planned for the Triber and Kiger in the coming weeks. As a part of that, the official teasers have started dropping online. Note that the debut is planned for July 23.
New Renault Triber Facelift Teased
The teaser image showcases the front grille section of the MPV. The first thing to notice is the metallic Renault logo positioned in the middle of the new grille. It is surrounded by matte black components. This confirms that the grille is quite sleek. Apart from that, the recent spy shots showcase LED DRLs mounted on the sides of the headlamps. Also, the side profile showcases a similar silhouette as the existing model, with the exception of a new design for the alloy wheels. More details will emerge closer to the launch.
The Renault Triber facelift will get minor interior updates, but nothing too wild. It may offer a few new features and soft-touch materials. Some parts might even come from the Magnite. The engine and transmission will likely stay the same. It will still use a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine with 72 hp and 96 Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual or AMT. In this manner, the buyers will get the flexibility to opt for the best option according to their needs.
My View
Renault is also working on a facelift for the Kiger and the new Duster in India. It aims to keep its lineup fresh for Indian buyers. Plus, Renault uses India’s factories to export to many other countries. So, India remains a key market for Renault. Clearly, the carmaker is leveraging its position in our market to influence its business not just in India, but across the globe. Let us see how things shape up in the times to come.
