Tata CURVV High Altitude Testing in Leh

Tata CURVV High Altitude Testing in Leh

In the latest official teaser, Tata CURVV has been spotted testing in the high altitude of Leh. CURVV is the upcoming coupe SUV from Tata Motors. It has been testing for a long time now. It will position itself between the Nexon and Harrier to rival the mighty Hyundai Creta. The sales of Tata cars have been consistently high in the last few years. The contribution comes from every model in the portfolio. Hence, the customers have embraced the Indian auto giant fully. To further expand its footprint, it will now bring this coupe SUV which will be the first mass-market SUV with this body type. Let us take a look at the details here.

Tata CURVV Testing in High Altitude

The video comes from the official Tata Motors Cars channel on YouTube. It mentions that the heavily camouflaged SUVs are being tested across diverse terrains in the Himalayan region of Leh. During this test, the coupe SUVs are being driven on regular tarmac, as well as on dirt tracks. At one point in the video, the SUVs reach Wari La which is situated at 17,425 ft above sea level. The information in the video clip even shows that the temperatures in this area range from -20 degrees to 30 degrees Celsius. It is unclear what the temperature was when this video was shot.

The visuals in this video offer a glimpse inside the cabin. A few aspects which intrigued me include paddle shifters, a crisp display on the digital driver’s instrument cluster, a rotary drive mode selector with City, Eco and Sport modes, etc. In the previous spy media, we have already seen that there will be a large infotainment display connected to the instrument cluster and much more. On the outside, the sloping roofline toward the rear will be its distinction. I suppose Tata Motors wishes to attract new buyers based on this design language. Apart from that, it will get electric, petrol and diesel powertrains along with manual and automatic transmission options. Hence, all sorts of customers will be catered to.

Our View

Tata Motors has emerged as a remarkable carmaker in India which can be adjudged by its constantly improving monthly sales. In fact, it has consistently been knocking on the doors of Hyundai for that second spot on the sales charts. With an ever-increasing model range and total domination in the EV space, it is exciting to see how the customers will react to the upcoming Tata CURVV. The launch is just around the corner. That is when complete details will be out.
