The dashboard layout and steering wheel of the upcoming Tata Curvv have been spotted in the latest spy shots. Curvv is a highly anticipated SUV from Tata Motors. It was first showcased back in 2022. In fact, its diesel iteration was displayed at the Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year. Hence, we have already seen the near-production model quite closely. It bears the latest design philosophy of the Indian auto giant. But the main attraction has to be the coupe silhouette, thanks to the sloping roofline toward the rear. Let us take a look at the details of the recent spy video.
Dashboard of Tata Curvv Revealed
The details of this case emerge from autojournal_india on Instagram. The video captures the coupe SUV wearing a thick camouflage. However, the visuals were able to offer the viewers a glimpse of the cabin. The first thing to notice here is the connected touchscreen infotainment display and digital instrument cluster. This is a trend we have seen on many modern cars like the Mahindra XUV700. It certainly elevates the premium quotient. In addition to that, we also see a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with controls, touch-sensitive AC controls, a wireless charging slot, an elegant gear selector, rotary dials for drive modes and more. All in all, the cabin will unarguably be impressive.
In terms of specifications, the Tata Curvv will be one of those few SUVs which will come with petrol, diesel and electric powertrain options. Also, it will get manual and automatic transmission alternatives. That will make it extremely accessible for a wide range of audiences. Depending on the needs, all sorts of buyers could opt for it. Tata already does this with the Nexon compact SUV. Resultantly, Nexon is one of the highest-selling vehicles in the country. The Indian auto giant aims to replicate that success with the Curvv as well. Exact details will emerge closer to the launch which could happen in the latter part of this year.
Our View
Tata Motors is one of the biggest carmakers in the country. It is constantly knocking on the heels of Hyundai to dethrone it off the second spot on monthly sales. Its wide portfolio is the main reason for its massive success in India, particularly in the last few years. Curvv will offer a unique proposition for all those who want a vehicle with a distinct road presence. There is no coupe SUV in the mass market at present. Hence, the Curvv will definitely be an enticing offering to woo new customers.
