Toyota hasn’t made any major changes to the engine lineup. Both the Diesel and Petrol engines have same performance figures as earlier. However, all the models get ABS as standard. Even the front dual airbags are standard. Also, theย side body structure has been changedย to offerย higher impact absorption. The rear bench now sits on a stronger tubular structure.
While theย new Etios Liva Diesel gets aย 1.4 litre engine, itsย petrol modelย gets a 1.2 litreย engine. All models of the 2016ย Etios Liva come with only a 5 speed manual transmission.

Images of the new Platinum Etios show a black and beige colour theme.ย The 2016ย Etios Liva facelift comes with new features like a digital-analogue instrument console. The new facelift also comes with a sportierย steering wheel. The Etios now also gets height adjustable rear seat headrests. Apart from this, there isn’t much else.
New Toyota Etios 2016ย Engine and Transmission
The Etios Liva features aย 79 BHP, 1.2 litre petrol and a 67 BHP, 1.4 litre Diesel engine. All engines come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The newย model’s clutch system andย front shock absorbers have been improved.ย Also, theย rubber engine mounts have been replaced by hydraulic mounts for reducing vibrations.ย The 2016 Etios Liva targets private car buyers.ย The Etios Liva isย popular among cab operators.
