New Toyota Hilux Interior Leaked

There has been a lot of news floating around with regard to the upcoming new-gen Toyota Hilux in international markets

In this post, we take a look at the leaked interior details of the new Toyota Hilux. Hilux is one of the most successful pickup trucks in many parts of the world. Its immense off-roading capabilities, along with the reliable powertrains, are two of the top reasons for its massive success. In India, it has not done too well, simply because the demand for such lifestyle premium pickup trucks is not as strong. Still, there is a fair bit of excitement around the new-gen model among the off-roading communities in the country.

The specifics of this case stem from drivecomau on Instagram. The visuals capture what look like the initial sketches of the interior layout of the new Toyota Hilux. There are two 12.3-inch screens gracing the cabin – one for the driver’s instrument cluster and one for the infotainment. Apart from that, it looks like the AC vents will be positioned underneath the infotainment display, which is a standard practice. Overall, the design looks inspired by the new Land Cruiser Prado, showcased a few months ago. That is only a good thing.

In some previous leaks, the exterior of the new Hilux was also partially revealed. There aren’t too many radical changes to the exterior. The pickup truck will get a redesigned front fascia. This includes things like a new, sharp layout for the LED DRLs on the edge of the bonnet, a compact rectangular grille, vertical LED fog lamps on the extreme edges of the bumper, sleek LED headlamps just beneath the DRLs and an imposing skid plate under the front bumper. The side profile will remain almost identical to the existing model, and the rear section will also only contain minor updates.

Expected Specs

This has to be the most critical aspect of the vehicle since people buy Toyotas primarily for their reliable engines. In this regard, the new Toyota Hilux might feature the same 2.8-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel mill as the current model. However, there could be some amount of electrification to make it a hybrid for better efficiency. We can expect manual and automatic transmission alternatives along with hardcore 4×4 hardware. More details will emerge in the coming months.
