Nissan is all set to launch the Magnite sub compact SUV in India, after it was unveiled a couple of days back. Also with this, fuel efficiency figures of Nissan Magnite have been revealed which seem to be among the highest. Magnite will come with a 1.0 Litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.0 Litre NA petrol engine. The turbo motor will be able to produce 100 BHP and 140 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 5-speed MT and a CVT.

The turbo-manual combination will be the most fuel-efficient with an ARAI-claimed rating of 20 kmpl. In comparison to other SUVs in this segment, Magnite turbo-MT will offer the best mileage figure. The NA petrol engine will offer around 18.15 kmpl, which is at par with a lot of other SUVs. The turbo-CVT combination will offer around 17.7 kmpl.

Till now, the most fuel efficient sub compact SUV is Maruti Vitara Brezza, which claims to offer 18.76 kmpl. However, Magnite misses out on a diesel engine which is a disadvantage to its name. In this range, only Maruti Vitara Brezza and Toyota Urban Cruiser are the other ones to miss out on an oil-burner.

Nissan Magnite comes with features such as 360-degree camera, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, front and rear parking sensors, fully digital 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, automatic AC, wireless charger and dual-airbags. In terms of features, it offers some highlights better than even Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue.
