Penta Battle R15 vs N160 vs NS160 vs Xtreme 160 vs Apache 160

YouTubers often adopt the method of drag racing to compare the performances of popular bikes and this is the mega-race of them all.

This has to be among the first penta battle races between Yamaha R15, Bajaj Pulsar N160, Pulsar NS160, TVS Apache 160 and Hero Xtreme 160R. All these are extremely exciting motorcycles in the 160-cc segment of our market. People opt for bikes from this segment if they are looking for a slight improvement in performance compared to 150-cc bikes. The main aspect is that the enhancement in riding dynamics doesn’t come at a huge cost. That makes these bikes incredibly popular among the bike enthusiasts. The video comes from shubham Yaduvanshi on YouTube. The prominent YouTuber has a team of his friends and fellow vloggers with all these bikes. Note that all these bikes have the naked body type apart from the R15. Apart from that, all these bikes have a 160-cc engine with varied power and torque output figures. They decide to perform a single round of drag racing. But it is not a short drag race. They take their time to ride on the open highway for a long time. We must caution our readers to not imitate them for your own safety and the safety of others.

As soon as the race commences, all riders pull the accelerator throttle with all their might. At the beginning, the Hero Xtreme 160R takes the lead. This continues for a brief period of time. However, the Apache 160 overtakes it after some distance. Finally, the Yamaha R15 takes the lead at over 127 km/h. In fact, it stays ahead throughout the race. Its massive fairing ensures that the drag resistance is minimized and the motorcycle is able to accelerate quickly even at high engine RPMs. All in all, the bikers used slip-streaming to overtake one another from time to time. In essence, it was a thoroughly enjoyable race.

What We Think

In recent times, YouTubers have adopted a popular trend of using drag races to evaluate and compare the performance of different motorcycles. However, it’s important to recognize that relying exclusively on drag races for these assessments may not be the wisest approach. The concern arises because drag races can potentially cause long-term damage to motorcycles, given that most bikes are not designed for continuous high-speed, straight-line racing. Therefore, we strongly discourage attempting drag races with your own motorcycles. In reality, most riders avoid pushing their bikes to such extreme limits due to safety concerns and the potential risks of personal injury and damage to their vehicles.
