Police Seizes Modified Tractor w/ 52 Speakers
This post comes from The Tribune on YouTube. It captures the Police surrounding this tractor on the road in Khanna, Ludhiana. The owner of this tractor has installed 52 speakers in it. This, naturally, causes massive noise pollution on the streets. On top of that, this tractor even has a custom numberplate and a pressure horn. That makes things even worse for the regular road users. The Police officials confirmed that they had received complaints about this tractor in the past as well. However, they gave warning to the owner.

But he kept using this tractor repeatedly. The Police finally had to work hard to grab hold of this tractor owner. It seized the tractor and slapped challans and various fines on it as per various sections of the IPC. In fact, the Police officer says that the fines could go upto Rs 1.25 lakh. But it will depend on the judge who will preside over this case. Funnily enough, he mentions that they had trouble even bringing it inside the Police station premises due to its height. They had to remove the board of the Police station to accommodate it inside the parking area. All in all, this was a case which created a lot of buzz in the market place.

Such incidents remind us just how negligent people can be. To install such a music system on a tractor to create ruckus on public roads is as stupid as it gets. You are bound to get in trouble with the law. Many people do such activities just for their social media. They don’t think about the consequences of such stunts on the general public.
