Drag race is often a method for YouTubers to compare the performances of prominent motorcycles in a straight line.
This drag race competition between RE Shotgun, Interceptor, Continental and Super Meteor is quite exciting. This is particularly important because all these belong to the 650-cc category in our market and come from the same company. But depending on the body type and application, all of these have a different use cases and customers. That is what makes this drag race so intriguing. Let us delve deep into the details here.

RE Shotgun, Interceptor, Continental & Meteor Drag Race
This video comes from The UP46 Rider on YouTube. The vlogger has the bikes with him. On the count of three, all the riders accelerate hard. Most of them stay neck-to-neck. After a while, the Interceptor takes the lead, followed by Continental GT, Shotgun and Super Meteor. At the end of the first round, the Continental GT came out on top, the Interceptor stood second, and the Shotgun grabbed the third spot leaving the Super Meteor at fourth position. In order to compensate for the weight and mannerisms of the riders, the riders are switched for the next round. After the second round, the results remained the same. Therefore, the Continental GT was triumphant in this drag race.
Specs
This is quite unique in the sense that all four of these motorcycles come with the same 648-cc parallel twin SOHC 2-cylinder air-oil cooled engine which generates a decent 47 PS and 52.3 Nm of peak power and torque. The only difference is that each of these is tuned in such a way that they offer the peak output at slightly different RPM levels. There is a 6-speed transmission with a wet multi-plate clutch. All of these have distinct styling catered toward the preferences of various customers.

Author’s Note
Drag race competitions are the latest ways in which YouTubers compare the performances of various automobiles in a straight line. While it might seem exciting, I would advise my readers to never imitate these. Firstly, these YouTubers take a lot of precautions behind the scenes. Secondly, there is still a chance of something going wrong since they are always overspeeding. Bikes are not driven in this fashion on a daily basis. Hence, you must not attempt such stunts in order to safeguard your health and safety and the health of your vehicles. Be responsible riders and follow traffic regulations.
