Renault India, the Indian subsidiary of the popular French car manufacturer, has come up with the new Second Anniversary Special Edition of the Kwid sub-compact hatchback. As you must have already guessed, the latest limited model commemorates the second anniversary of the budget car. The latest Renault Kwid Anniversary Special Edition brings along a host of updates that work together to spruce up both the exterior and the interior of this car. Prices of the latest special edition Kwid start at Rs 3,42,800 (ex-showroom). The new model is available with both 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre engine variants. Specifications and mileage remain the same as those of the regular model.

Like we just told you, the new second Anniversary Special Edition of the Kwid is available with both 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre powertrains. The new limited version is based on the high-end RXL and RXT trims. The special car comes with a manual transmissions (MT) only. The Anniversary editions of the Kwid RXL 0.8-litre and Kwid RXT 0.8-lite have a launch price of Rs 342,800 (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and INR 376,400 (ex-showroom, New Delhi) respectively. On the other hand, the RXL 1.0 and RXT 1.0 variants have ex-showroom prices of Rs 364,000 and Rs 397,900 respectively. The new Renault Kwid Anniversary Special Edition is available in both the engine variants that the regular car offers. These include a 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre 3-cylinder units that benefit from a DOHC head with 4 valves per cylinder. While the 0.8-litre outputs a max. power of 54 Bhp and a peak torque of 72 Nm, the 1.0-litre unit outputs 68 PS and 91 Nm. For the latest special model, both the engines come mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The Kwid offers the best-in-class boot space of 300-litres.

The Kwid has already impressed many with its crossover-isa design and the resultant bold stance. For the latest Anniversary Special Edition, the exterior of the car comes with two paint options- Red, White. While the red car comes adorned with white accents, the white car gets red accents. You can find these accents on the front faux skid plate, ORVM caps, C-pillars, and wheel caps. Also, you get a ’02’ sticker on the hood.
