It will use the extended CMF-A+ platform, featuring mostly local parts in India. The SUV will launch globally and would also come to India soon. It might borrow most of its features from Kwid. It would also use Kwid’s 1.0 Litre petrol engine. However, the body and the chassis might different from Kwid. Like Kwid, the compact SUV will also be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or an AMT. The Kwid compact SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 6-10 lakhs, competing with Maruti Vitara Brezza and Mahindra TUV 300.
The compact SUV will be borrowing a lot of parts from Kwid. It is unlikely to receive a diesel engine so it might be available only in the petrol variant.
