Renault Triber sees a price hike again, this time affecting the base variant. Usually, for the past 2-3 hikes, the base variant is left out and its the other variants that get affected. Now, the base RXE variant sees the highest price hike, but all the other variants see a very small hike. Check out the new price list.
The base RXE variant gets costlier by Rs 13,000. It does not get an AMT gearbox on the offer. The RXL and RXT trims, including the MT and AMT variants, see a hike of Rs 4,000. The top-end RXZ variants get a hike of Rs 5,000. Now, the price range starts at Rs 5.12 Lakhs to Rs 7.34 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).
Prior to this price hike, Triber had a big advantage of having a variant under Rs 5 Lakhs. It could be termed as a sub-5 Lakh car, but now it cannot. However, it is still very practical and affordable as a 7-seater MPV. It measures 3.95 metres and comes with three rows. However, you can remove the third seat row and completely fold the second row too.
Powering the Triber is a 1.0 Litre three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 72 PS and 96 Nm of peak torque. Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. There are reports of it soon getting a 1.0 Litre three-cylinder turbo charged petrol engine that will be good for 100 PS atleast.
Features onboard include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, fully digital instrument cluster, rear parking camera, rear parking sensors, AC blowers for all three rows, central locking system, 15-inch allloy wheels, fog lamps and easily removable third row seats.
