Indian cricket team skipper Rohit Sharma received 3 challans for overspeeding on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Rohit owns some of the most luxurious and extravagant automobiles. He has often been spotted in his opulent rides. Primarily, the paparazzi catch him at airports before or after travelling to some country for a tour. Apart from that, they even spot him at public events and ceremonies. But on this latest occasion, he was caught by the cameras installed along the Mumbai-Pune Expressway while overspeeding.

Rohit Sharma Gets 3 Challans for Overspeeding
The news is going viral. Currently, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 is going on. As a result, the team keeps on travelling to new venues every other day. Rohit was to join the team in Pune ahead of India’s clash against the neighbours, Bangladesh for the next World Cup match. He took his own vehicle for this journey. However, it was reported that he was travelling at around 200 km/h, even reaching 215 km/h during this ride. The speed limit on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway is 100 km/h.

To keep an eye out for overspeeding incidents, this highway has a lot of cameras at various places. As they caught our captain overspeeding on so many occasions, he was fined 3 times. We are not sure which car he was driving. It is possible that he might have been in his Lamborghini Urus. It is among the fastest SUVs on the planet. Hence, reaching such high speeds in it is quite effortless. He also owns a slew of other prominent vehicles.

There isn’t much debate about the potential consequences of overspeeding. We witness lakhs of lives lost on roads in India every year. Most of these are cases of overspeeding or disregarding traffic laws in some shape. Things could be even trickier when someone of Rohit’s stature does this. He has millions of followers on social media and in general. When people see their heroes doing such activities, some of them like to imitate them too, particularly young people. Rohit has to be careful about the impact he could have on people. He needs to follow the traffic regulations to the T so that others also follow his lead.
