Epiq will be the next electric car from Skoda which will debut in 2025. Announced internationally, the EV will be 4.1 m in length. Initially, it will be available for the European markets. However, shortly afterwards, we might get an Indianized version of the same. The Epiq will cost around โฌ25,000. This roughly translates to (Rs 22.57 lakh INR). For our market, Skoda might offer a low-cost variant to rival the competition which includes the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400, MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona at present.

Skoda Epiq Electric Car
The Skoda Epiq will be built in collaboration with VW. Internally called A-zero BEV, the Skoda Epiq will offer a generous wheelbase of 2,600 mm. Because it is based on a dedicated EV platform, there is a lot of space liberated in the cabin. The boot space is a healthy 490-litre. Skoda also confirmed that the Epiq will have a range of around 400 km. The battery could be between 38 kWh and 56 kWh. Since it will be an affordable EV, there will likely be a sole single-motor FWD configuration. The Indian trim could be based on the MEB 21 platform to keep costs in check.

Exterior Design
The concept of the Skoda Epiq has been unveiled. At the front, it bears a modern design language with a sleek grille section, Y-shaped LED DRLs, Skoda lettering replacing the logo, and a rugged bumper with aerodynamic diffuser-like elements under the bumper. The bonnet even carries sporty contours. On the sides, there are futuristic alloy wheels, square wheel arches, rugged side body skirtings, black side pillars and roof to give that floating roof effect, a muscular rear section and practical roof rails. At the rear, there are T-shaped LED taillamps with a sturdy bumper which contains a diffuser at the lower section to improve the aero. All in all, the Skoda Epiq represents the modern design language of the Czech carmaker.

Interior and Features
Since we are still in the concept phase, we can’t comment too much about the interiors. Still, the overall approach is minimalist. The digital instrument cluster is relatively tiny but the infotainment screen makes up for it. The dashboard layout is neat and textured. It looks like most controls will be operated from the touchscreen only. Apart from that, we are also able to see physical buttons with haptic feedback on the two-spoke steering wheel. Again, the Skoda logo has been replaced with Skoda lettering. More details will appear closer to the launch.
