Skoda Kushaq SUV Faces EPC Issue Again

Skoda Kushaq SUV Faces EPC Issue Again

Skoda Kushaq has been plagued by the EPC error through much of its lifetime in our market and the woes don’t seem to end even now.

In recent news, a Skoda Kushaq owner posted the EPC issue with his SUV on Facebook after completing 25,000 km. Kushaq is based on VW’s MQB A0 IN platform that was specifically designed for emerging markets like India. It has over 90% local content to reduce service and spare parts costs. However, it also gave rise to the dreaded EPC error in Kushaq that has continued to plague the mid-size SUV for over a year now. Many owners had reported this issue repeatedly. There is no permanent solution to this problem.

Skoda Kushaq SUV Struggles with EPC Error

Skoda tried hard to offer a permanent solution by asking the Kushaq owners to get the fuel pump replaced at the service centres with a more robust unit free of charge. However, there were still a lot of people who faced this issue even after installing the more robust fuel pump. With this latest report, it becomes clear that SUV owners are even getting its error after driving for over 25,000 km, which is bizarre. A few Skoda service centres and manual booklet also suggest using high-octane petrol. But nothing seems to work.

We can only hope that Skoda works vehemently toward rectifying this issue that is troubling a ton of Kushaq owners repeatedly. People buy Skoda cars to enjoy and cherish the impeccable driving dynamics with peppy engines and great handling. However, such issues have served as a deterrent to more widespread sales and adoption of Skoda products.
