tata nexon off-roading uh-oh

A Tata Nexon EV owner decide to take his new vehicle on an off-roading trip which was much shorter than he expected.

The Tata Nexon EV is the company’s all-electric vehicle. Previously, it had launched the Tigor EV. The electric motor on the car offers 129PS/ 245Nm of torque. It is paired with single-speed automatic transmission and gets two driving modes: Drive and Sport. However, the electric vehicle is not really suitable for tough conditions. While it can handle the daily tasks efficiently, you don’t want to get adventurous with this car. A customer discovered this the hard way when he went to an off-roading site with his Nexon EV.

As you can see in the video shared by MotorZone, the Nexon EV reached the off-roading site and immediately got stuck in the sand. While the owner manage to get it free, the trip had to be cut short. This video makes it clear that the electric car has a long way to go before it can carry you through rough terrains. While the new Nexon EV has the same dimensions as the standard model, owing to the position of the battery pack, the ground clearance is 4mm lower than the standard Nexon at 205mm. The new 16-inch alloys are lighter at each corner by almost a kilo. Tell us what you think of the Tata Nexon EV off-roading trip.

Additional features on the Tata Nexon EV include LED tail-lamps, blue highlights, tri-arrow design elements. Tata also claims that you can get an 80 percent charge in just 1 hour. The Tata Nexon EV price starts at Rs 13.99 lakh (goes to Rs 15.99 lakh). It comes in three variants, namely XM, XZ+, and XZ+ Lux. You can choose from four color options – Signature Bluesilver, Moonlight Silver, Glacier White, and black (Dark Edition).
