A strange case has emerged online where a Tata Nexon owner claims a meltdown of taillamps and the body of his SUV. This is admittedly a bizarre occurrence. I report such cases of people creating questionable content online frequently. This one certainly seems to qualify for that category. Indian roads are full of hilarious and strange activities. While a lot of them involve people flouting traffic regulations, there are some others which take a completely different turn. Let us take a look at the details of one such case.
Tata Nexon Owner Claims Meltdown of Taillamps
This video clip emerges from sada_sarnava on Instagram. It captures an incredibly weird occurrence. The host in this instance claims that the taillamps, bumper, and roof spoiler of his compact SUV were melted due to the extreme heat. He shows that these components are deformed and losing shape which is typically what happens when plastics come in contact with fire. However, it is hard to believe that sheer high temperatures can do this. But the man even says that the temperature is over 100 degrees which is obviously an exaggeration.
In fact, while reading the comments, I found that this was the common theme among the netizens. Almost everyone is calling out the bluff and saying that things like these are impossible. They say that with this logic every car in Delhi which is parked outside should melt. I have seen cases from abroad where if a car is parked at such an angle that the sunlight reflects from a glass on a concentrated area on the body of the car, a meltdown can occur. But that is extremely rare. That could be a possibility in this case too.
Our View
In all honesty, I find it difficult to believe that this is the full picture. There is clearly more to this case than meets the eye. In fact, that is the thing with social media. One can’t really be too sure about anything. People often post content just to garner views and increase their followers. In a bid to achieve that, they create just about any sort of content. However, netizens are smart and often recognize misleading content and question the creator. I advise our readers to keep doing the same so that we get quality content only.
