Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP are all set to launch on 23rd October. Both of the cars get more powerful engines than their standard variants. They will mostly get a retuned version of 1.2 Litre Revotron turbocharged petrol engine.ย
Tata Motors is all set to launch its new hot hatch and hot sedan in India. The Tata Tigor JTP and Tiago JTP will be unveiled on 23rd October. We have spotted testing the Tiago JTP a lot of times. Based on the pictures, we can say that it remains identical to the concept that was showcased in the Auto Expo. the Tiago and Tigor JTP will be based on the top-end variants. Currently, there are only 3 affordable hot hatches in India, which include Maruti Baleno RS, Volkswagen Polo GT and Fiat Abarth Punto.
As per the latest media reports, the Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP will get a retuned version of Nexon’s petrol engine. The Nexon uses a 1.2 Litre Revotron Turbocharged petrol unit, which produces around 110 HP and 170 Nm.

However, for the JTP cars, the power figures would be higher. There are no exact numbers available till now. For transmission, the JTP cars would use a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP would also get a similar styling kit. In the front, both will get a revised bumper set, large air dams, ‘JTP’ badging on the front grille, bonnet vent, side skirts, a new set of alloy wheels and a dual-exhaustย system. Inside the cabin, both get Smoking Red accents on AC vents, red stitching on the upholstery and aluminium pedals.

Features onboard the JTP variants would be the same as that on the standard top-end variants. Although, both of them might get a touchscreen infotainment system, which came in Tiago NRG. Other features would include Tilt-Adjustable steering, Adjustableย front headrests, Electric ORVMs, Cooled Glove Box and different driving modes.
The Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP will come with safety features such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Corner Stability Control, Rear Parking sensors with a camera, Day and Night IRVMs, Rear Defogger and more.

The Tata Tiago JTP is all set to become the cheapest hot hatchback in India. Both of them will come only in single variants. The Tiago might be priced at Rs 5.7 Lakhs and the Tigor might get a price tag of Rs 6.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom prices).
