Tata Motors will launch the Tigor ‘Styleback’ on March 29. The Tigor is based on the Tiago hatchback and made its public debut as the Kite5 at Auto Expo 2016. Tata Tigor Price

Safely expect the Tata Tigor price range to start at roughly Rs 3.8 lakh. The price of the top-end Diesel model will be nearly Rs 6 lakh.

Tata Tigor Specifications

The Tigor shares its engines with the Tiago. While the Petrol engine for Tigor outputs 84 bhp and 114 Nm, the Diesel engine offers 69 bhp and 140 Nm. Tata could also launch an AMT model of the Tigor in near future. The Tigor AMT will get a 5-speed AMT.

Tata Tigor Review – Exterior Design

The Tigor is underpinned by a modified version of the XO platform from the Indigo eCS. For the Tigor, this platform carries several updates that help enhance the rigidity and stability. The Tigor definitely looks a lot more modern than the Indigo eCS. It shares in plenty with the Tiago. However, the rear-end is completely new and Tata has given this car a notchback design. We are pretty happy with the way the larger boot seamlessly merges with the Tiago’s body.

The front-end is almost like that of the Tiago. However, it gets smoked headlamps with projector units. Apart from this rather small change, the Tigor will look exactly like the Tiago when viewed front on. Even in its side profile, the Tigor will share all the panels with the Tiago till the B-pillar. The rear, however, is all new. Thanks to the notchback styling, the car has a longer overhang and a bigger boot. The tail now gets wrap-around split taillamps that look pretty cool. Overall, we are pretty happy with the way the Tigor looks. The cool looking 15 inch alloy wheels are reserved for the petrol variant only. Diesel Tigor gets the same alloy wheels as the Tiago.

Tata Tigor Review – Interior Design

The Tigor offers a spacious and feature-laden cabin. Even the cabin shares in plenty with the Tiago’s interior. Most of the panels have been carried over, but the Tigor gets a longer list of features. Also, the Tigor, pretty obviously, offers a larger boot. It has a very generous boot capacity of 419-litres.
