We had already reported to you that Hyundai is working on a premium MPV for India and it will most likely come to our market in 2021. This premium MPV will in fact be based on the Kia Carnival and it will be borrowing plenty of bits from the Carnival as well. This Carnival-based Hyundai MPV has now been spied for the first time without any camouflage on international roads and we will tell you everything we know about it.

A you can see from the images, this Hyundai MPV has a very distinct and unique identity. Unlike the Carnival which has a much more elegant design, Hyundai has gone all-out with this MPV with a very jazzy and bling design. There are all sorts of sharp cuts and creases on the body with a huge chrome-laden grilleย dominating the face, much similar to the Vision T. A sharp shoulder line and the dual-tone alloy wheels add a lot of character to the sides. The rear meanwhile has a much more conservative design with a connected LED tail lamp units.

The spy images also give us a glimpse inside the MPV and here again, its very different from the Carnival. The dashboard is dominated by a large free-floating horizontally oriented touchscreen infotainment system and the steering wheel is straight out of the Creta. The faux AC vents running across the width of the dashboard also give it a very unique look and seem inspired from new age Audi cars. Much like the Carnival, we expect this Hyundai MPV to also offer a range of seating options ranging from 7- to 11-seater options.ย
