Tata Harrier Wide Body Concept

Tata Harrier Wide Body Concept

I came across this unique Tata Harrier widebody concept recently. In this case, the digital automobile designer uses the new model as the base. Harrier recently received a thorough facelift. Tata Motors recognizes the intense competition in this segment. Harrier was in dire need of an update for a while. Hence, the Indian auto giant came up with an exciting iteration of the Harrier and Safari primarily focusing on the exterior styling and interior layout along with the addition of plenty of creature comforts and tech features. Check out the details of this latest digital illustration.

This revetting rendition emerges from zephyr_designz on Instagram. The entire SUV is fresh. At the front, there is a sleek LED light bar which runs across the width of the car. I particularly like the detailing of the LED DRLs and the compact grille area between them. The main headlamp cluster is on the extreme edges of the bumper surrounding a broad radiator grille. The widebody silhouette becomes apparent from the side with extended wheel arches and black alloy wheels with red brake callipers. It has a dual-tone colour theme with black side pillars and a roof. The rear profile hosts a sporty diffuser with a quad exhaust system, connected LED taillamps and a rugged bumper to complete this attractive look.

Specs

Fascinatingly, the Harrier retains its original engine from the time of its introduction. It boasts a 2.0-litre Kryotec turbo diesel engine sourced from Fiat, delivering 170 PS of peak power and 350 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. The prices range from Rs 15.49 lakh to Rs 26.44 lakh, ex-showroom. There are reports about the Harrier and Safari siblings getting a turbo petrol engine to make the pricing more competitive. We shall see if that comes to fruition.

Author’s Note

I have always had a definitive affinity toward digital renditions of popular cars. It is a great way to break the monotony of watching cars with similar designs for a long time. Such digital automobile artists are able to bring in their own creativity and imagination. As a result, we get to experience a familiar vehicle in a completely new avatar. Therefore, I thoroughly appreciate such versions of the cars which we can only experience in the virtual realm.
