As expected, the list of best selling two-wheelers of last month has been topped by Hero Splendor, followed by Honda Activa. Check out the complete list.
The month of April 2019 was a dull moment for the top two-wheeler manufacturers. Hero and Honda saw a steep decline in the yearly sales figures, the latter seeing a dip in the monthly figures as well.
The yearly two-wheeler sales are down by 16.3%, from 19.58 Lakh units sold in April 2018, compared to 16.38 Lakhs in April this year. A couple of previous months have seen a decline in sales.
The brands that have achieved positive results include TVS and Bajaj Auto. Both have achieved minor growth in yearly sales, whereas in the monthly sales, Yamaha also sees a very small decline.

AS expect, Hero Splendor tops the list of best selling two-wheelers for April, at 2.23 Lakh units. Second in rank is Honda Activa at 2.10 Lakh units. This particular pattern is seen from a very long time now.

Hero Motocorp can be seen as the leading motorcycle manufacturer in India with Splendor, HF Deluxe, Glamour and Passion in the list. Honda has the Activa and CB Shine in the list.

Bajaj Pulsar is the best selling premium motorcycle in India, selling better than commuters like Platina and Passion. The most popular model in the series is the Pulsar 150.
TVS Jupiter and Suzuki Access are the only other scooters to enter the top 10 best selling two-wheelers list. You can see the difference between Activa and Jupiter, of nearly 1.5 Lakh units.
The sales of Activa have gone down because of the growing competitiom. Scooters like Hero Destini 125 and TVS Ntorq 125 are priced very near, thus eating Activa’s share in the market.
