Toyota Indiaย has readiedย yet another facelift of the Etios sedan called Platinum Etios. Ever since its launch, the Etios twins have failed to make much of an impression on the car buying lot. While the sedan is popular among fleet owners and cabbies, private car buyers have been giving the Etios a miss. Toyota has rolled out an update for the Etios and Liva in a bid to push sales specifically amongst private car buyers. Read our Toyota Etios old vs new comparison to find out what’s new.

Toyota Etios Old vs New Model- Exterior Comparison

Designers have made major modifications to the nose of the car. While the headlamps remain the same, the grille and front bumper are all new. The new bumper features a lot of blacked out surface area that adds a touch of sportiness to the design. The new model Etios also gets a healthy dose of chrome around the fog lamps and the grille area.

There are new alloys on offer. At the back, the changes are less noticeable. The Toyota Etios facelift gets a new bumper and chrome additions. There is a chrome strip running across the length of the boot bearing ‘Etios’ lettering. This chrome strip also features faux tail lamp extensions. Overall, while the design changes add a bit of freshness into the exteriors of the Etios, we will have to wait and see how car buyers react to it.

Toyota Etios Old vs New Model- Interior Comparison

The interiors of the newย Etios do not feature any significant updates. Although it was being earlier reported that Toyota will add a digital speedo setup, the latest images show otherwise. However, it is a new unit and features a digital tachometer. The only noticeable changes here are the addition of a new flat-bottom steering wheel and a new light-dark colour scheme. It does not get a touchscreen infotainment system as standard fitment even on the top-end trim. However, we think it will be available as a dealer level accessory.
