We keep witnessing incredibly stupid and shocking incidents on the roads on a daily basis and it hurts to see the authorities doing them.

In a bizarre video, a Toyota Innova Crysta of the Gurgaon police was seen driving in the wrong lane on a highway. Driving in the wrong lane is one of the major reasons for most horrific car crashes in our country. Yet, we come across such cases almost every day. Innova is a popular MPV which is a common vehicle for a lot of police officials, particularly in the major cities of the country. It is used as a patrolling vehicle on the highways as seen in this case. Let us glance through the details of this shockingly weird case where the police authorities are found breaking the laws themselves.

This video has been uploaded by Prateek Singh on YouTube. This channel keeps featuring content around the performances of popular cars during unfortunate incidents, as well as road safety. On this occasion, the culprits are the very people who are deputed for the implementation of law and order. As per the information in the video, a car owner was driving on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway. When he reaches close to Delhi, he witnesses something shocking on the highway. As he was overtaking a truck, a police patrolling vehicle approaches from the opposite direction out of nowhere.

Thankfully, the driver was able to apply brakes forcefully and timely. He stops and tells the police that they are jeopardising the lives of people by driving in the wrong lane. Moreover, the car driver had installed a CCTV camera in his car which had recorded the entire incident. It is because of this reason that the police personnel were not able to say anything. Nevertheless, it hurts us deeply to witness that the authority is breaking the rules themselves. If this is what the police are doing, what can we expect from regular people?

What We Think

It is high time we start following the traffic regulations in order to safeguard the roads and reduce the number of accidents. Thousands of lives are lost in road crashes each year. Most of these could easily have been avoided had the people been following the traffic regulations. We urge our readers to never get involved in such scenarios and ensure that you and everyone around you follow the traffic laws. If you find anyone breaking the law, make sure to record the incident and report it to the authorities so that proper action could be taken against them.
