Some important TVS Apache New Series details have leaked ahead of the speculated launch in coming months

The TVS Apache models are easily among the more performance-oriented products in their respective segments. The TVS Apache RTR160, which is the least priced TVS Apache model in India, came in at a time when the performance hungry in the 150cc bike segment had started to feel the need for more power and better handling manners than the Bajaj Pulsar 150, which used to be the most performance focused 150cc in those times. The TVS Apache RTR180, which was launched some years later, became another ‘must-have’ for the performance junkies, as it became the country’s most powerful and the most track focused model to be on sale for less than a lakh rupees. However, thanks to the ever evolving nature of our entry-level performance bike market, the once sharp TVS Apache models are fast losing the edge they have on their rivals and need of the hour is a comprehensively updated line-up of TVS bikes, which should preferably comprise of a 200cc-plus model among others. Today, we have managed to get our hands on some important TVS Apache new series details, which come directly from the manufacturer’s headquarters in South India.

Unlike what was being speculated earlier, the new TVS Apache Series will get more than just a cosmetic makeover and will come with several new features and a higher performance for the 160cc and the 180cc variants. In terms of appearance, the upcoming models will get many cues from the Draken concept. Currently, all the three upcoming TVS Apache models in India are under development at the manufacturer’s test facility in South India and are expected to go on sale in coming months. The rumoured TVS-BMW 250cc bike is being developed only by BMW Motorrad and TVS will get involved only for the production of the upcoming bike at its Hosur plant. The upcoming Apache bikes, on the other hand, are developed in-house by TVS and have been internally named as the X16, X18 and the X21. Here’s our detailed report on the upcoming models-
