The performance electric motorcycles from the Indian EV startup were already on sale in Germany
The Ultraviolette F77, in its two distinct avatars – MACH 2 RECON and SuperStreet RECON – has officially been launched in the UK. Note that it was already on sale in Germany and holds the necessary UN ECE certifications to sell in 40 European countries. It has struck a strategic partnership with MotoMondo for exclusive distribution. During the recent Motorcycle Live Show in the UK, the Indian EV giant showcased its entire product portfolio, including the F77 MACH 2, F77 SuperStreet, X-47, Tesseract, Shockwave and F99. Clearly, it has ambitious plans for global dominance.
Ultraviolette F77 on Sale in UK
The Ultraviolette F77 is a mighty capable electric bike. Both these models share the powertrains. They come with a 10.3 kWh battery pack, which promises a range of 323 km (IDC) on a single charge. Apart from that, the electric motor is capable of generating a healthy 40.2 hp and 100 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. The acceleration from 0 to 60 km/h comes up in a mere 2.8 seconds, while the top speed is a massive 155 km/h. It takes around 5 hours to charge the EV from 20% to 80%. The prominent bits include switchable Dual-Channel ABS by Bosch, Violette A.I., 10 levels of Regenerative Braking, 4 levels of Traction Control, Dynamic Stability Control and much more.
Highlights of Motorcycle Live Show
Ultraviolette made a strong impact at the Motorcycle Live Show with a clear look at its upcoming products. The biggest reveal was the X-47 Crossover, a motorcycle that blends two segments and is built to handle varied terrains. It also becomes the first in its class to offer integrated radar technology as standard. The radar system adjusts to lean angles of up to 20 degrees and adapts to roll and pitch changes. This improves how it reads the surroundings and boosts rider safety. The Advanced Rider Assistance System, powered by UV HyperSense, works through four key functions: Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist, Overtake Alert and Rear Collision Warning.
Alerts are displayed through UV HyperSense mirrors, and in critical moments, the hazard lights activate automatically. The X-47 also brings the world’s most power-dense air-cooled onboard charger, offering safe AC charging with surge protection, grounding and EMI/EMC filtration. It delivers full output even at 45–50°C. Ultraviolette also showcased the ‘Tesseract’, the world’s first scooter with both radar and dashcam tech. It features Omnisense mirrors, traction control, dynamic regen, a 7-inch TFT screen and 34 litres of storage. The ‘Shockwave’ lightweight motorcycle was another highlight, producing 505 Nm at the wheel and doing 0–60 km/h in 2.9 seconds.

Having tracked India’s EV space from its infancy, it’s impressive to see a homegrown brand like Ultraviolette push into mature European markets. The F77 entering the UK after Germany signals a clear shift, Indian performance EVs are now competing on global standards, not just affordability. What stands out is the brand’s focus on tech-forward products rather than just chasing range or price. If Ultraviolette can maintain this momentum, it has the potential to become one of India’s strongest two-wheeler exports in the coming decade.
