United Motorcycles Global, a Miami-based motorcycle manufacturer, first showcased its product range at the Auto Expo 2014. Four of United Motorcycles Global products that have been showcased in Indiaย are –ย Renegade Commando, Renegade Sport, Renegade Duty and Xtreet. Earlier this year,ย United Motorcycles Global launched three new bikes at the Auto Expo 2016. While one of these bikes isย the Renegade Sport S itself, the other one isย a close relativeย of this bike. Sales of these UM bikes were supposed to start in April, 2016. However, deliveries of the new UM Renegade bikes will now commence only in mid-June. The manufacturer recently started the second batch of bookings of these new bikes. The first batch saw over 1000 bookings being registered while the second batch will see orders for the next 1000 units.ย It maybe noted that the upcoming motorcycle manufacturerย has tied up with India’s Lohia Motors for its fast-approaching Indian innings. UMย Renegade Sport S India Specifications
Powering the compact cruiser bike is aย single-cylinder 280cc, liquid-cooled engine that is good for a max. power of 24.8ย BHPย and a peak torque of 21.8ย Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.ย The new UM Renegade Sport S gets a pair ofย Gabriel-sourced telescopic forks at the front and a set of twin coil spring shock absorbers at the rear. The new bike rides on a 17-inch wheel at front and a 15-inch unit at the rear. These come shod withย 110-ย and 140-section TVS rubber respectively. While the front wheel gets a disc brake, the bike gets a drum brake at the rear.
