Another video that has been taken from a different angle shows there was an adjacent lane near the narrow road to help one make the U-turn
Recently, a video showing a driver making a near-impossible U-turn on a very narrow hilly road went viral, thereby highlighting the great manoeuvrability skills of the driver. It looked like the vehicle was a cliff edge and many social media users have got all excited about this 90 secs video. However, it looks like the not everything about this video is true. While the U-turn was actually made on a narrow road, it was certainly not the edge of the cliff.
Another video of this U-turn taken from another angle showed another road next to the narrow road on which the vehicle was taking the U-turn, which shows that the edge of the cliff was pretty far off from where the vehicle was making a U-turn. This puts down the claim that the unbelievable U-turn was made in very dangerous circumstances. Everyone lauded the driver’s courage of executing a full U-turn on a road next to a huge drop several feet deep. However, a longer version of the same video, which was posted last month, shows the entire reality of the situation.
As per the description of the vehicle, this video was shot back in October 2021 in Hong Kong. But another video of the same U-turn taken from the other side of the vehicle clearly shows another road running parallel to the narrow road on which the car was making a U-turn.
It is certain that the driver could take a U-turn on a very narrow road but what’s certain is that the U-turn was made on the edge of a cliff. This incident also reminds us that one shouldn’t immediately believe content that goes viral on social media as there’s often a bigger picture that needs to be seen.
