All-New Maruti Swift
The first entry on this list of upcoming Maruti cars is even the most important one of the lot. The Maruti Swift, a name that has held iconic status in the Indian automobile industry, will receive a generation change. The most noteworthy change in the upcoming model involves the introduction of a new powertrain, departing from the reliable K Series engine commonly found in the Swift and other Maruti vehicles. The upcoming Z Series engine is offered in various versions, with the one showcased at the Japan Mobility Show being a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder hybrid engine capable of achieving an impressive mileage of approximately 30-35 km/l.
Although the power output remains comparable to the existing model, there’s a noticeable increase in torque, promising even more dynamic low-end performance. The introduction of this engine to our market is uncertain, but it hints at a potential shift away from the current K Series engine in the new Swift. In addition, it will bear some updates to the cabin and the feature-list too.

Throughout the years, the Swift and Dzire duo has consistently shared similar powertrains, aesthetics, and features. There is no indication to suggest otherwise this time around as well. In fact, in India, the updated Dzire is usually introduced before the Swift. It will likely draw inspiration from the facelifted Swift in terms of both exterior and interior elements. Furthermore, it is expected to share powertrain options with the Swift. The only potential difference could be in the Tour variant, which Maruti specifically offers for fleet operators.

Maruti WagonR Facelift
The facelift model for 2024 of the Maruti WagonR was recently spotted. It has been going viral ever since. In that image, the rear section was clearly visible. Notably, there is no camouflage covering this vehicle. The taillamps feature a smoky black effect, retaining their vertical orientation. Additionally, the reflector lights are placed on the outermost edges of the new sporty bumper. The black elements on the bumper contribute to the hatchback’s rugged appearance. The overall silhouette closely resembles that of the current model. Regrettably, the side and front sections are not visible in this photograph. Nevertheless, I don’t anticipate any drastic changes. Similarly, there won’t be any mechanical changes to the hatchback either.
