The Vietnamese car marque has some huge plans for our market, including passenger electric vehicles, two-wheelers and buses
VinFast might be preparing to launch the Limo Green electric SUV in India by next year. VinFast has commenced its India operations with the VF6 and VF7. Apart from that, it is expanding its existing Tamil Nadu facility to manufacture electric buses and two-wheelers. Clearly, it has massive plans for our market. In fact, it won’t just be selling products domestically, but will establish India as the foundation for its export hub. As a consequence, India will receive significant investment from VinFast in the coming years.
VinFast Plans Limo Green for India
The electric SUV was spied performing road tests in India a few weeks ago. In fact, in our tour to VinFast’s facilities in Vietnam a few days ago, we experienced it in the flesh. At the front, it bears a sleek LED lighting setup and a closed-off fascia. The side section contains black side pillars, prominent wheel arches and a stylish dual-tone design for the 18-inch alloy wheels. I particularly like the side section, which resembles some premium vehicles. The tail end also contains a modern appearance with a shark fin antenna and shark LED taillamps.
Now, while the information regarding the interior and features is limited, we can expect it to be modern and tech-savvy. This could include elements like a driver’s instrument cluster, powered driver’s seat, premium sound system, large infotainment touchscreen, automatic climate control, ventilated all-disc brake setup, and much more. We shall get to know more about the in-cabin amenities as the launch nears.
Expected Specs
Again, the exact details about the specifications are not available for the India model. Still, we can witness what this EV comes with in the international market. It contains a 60.13 kWh battery pack, which powers the electric motor to generate a healthy 204 PS and 280 Nm of maximum power and torque, respectively. The claimed range is a usable 450 km on a single charge. The charging time to go from 10% to 70% is 30 minutes. I shall keep an eye out for more details in this regard.
