Volkswagen Polo Gets Cheaper With Discount Of Rs 40,000 Flat!

Volkswagen is offering the BS6 Polo with a hefty discount of Rs 40,000. The upgraded hatch is priced from Rs 5.88 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).

The deliveries of BS6 Volkswagen Polo commenced a couple of weeks earlier itself. Right now, you can only get the manual variants. The automatic variants can be booked but their production will commence in the month of August. The manufacturer first wants to start the production at full capacity at its Chakan plant.

Now, Volkswagen is offering a heavy discount of Rs 40,000 on the BS6 Polo. You can get Rs 13,200 cash discount, plus Rs 20,000 as exchange bonus and Rs 10,000 as corporate discount. However, for all the last two offers, you need to meet a certain criteria, otherwise you cannot get it.

The prices of Polo starts at Rs 5.88 Lakhs going up to Rs 6.82 Lakhs for the MPI variants. The TSI variants are priced from Rs 7.89 Lakhs up to Rs 9.59 Lakhs. With the discount applicable, you can buy the base or Limited TSI variant for cheaper than the mid-spec trims of Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i20 and even Grand i10 Nios Turbo.

Polo is available with two engine options including the existing 1.0 Litre MPI and a new 1.0 Litre three-cylinder turbo petrol TSI. MPI engine produces 75 BHP and 95 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed MT as standard. The TSI engine is the most powerful engine in the class, producing 115 PS and 172 Nm of torque.

Polo TSI continues to be the most powerful hatchback in India. However, sadly, the DSG gearbox came earlier came on Polo GT trim has been discontinued. That said, the 1.5 Litre TDI unit was discontinued in March due to the emission norms. Now, the TSI engine comes paired with a 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT.

Volkswagen is also offering huge discount with the BS6 Vento. You can buy the sedan for nearly up to Rs 2 Lakhs cheaper than the original price. The prices of Vento commence from Rs 8.81 Lakhs up to Rs 13.30 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
