VW Delivers 106 Cars in One Day, Launches New ‘Flash Red’ Colour
Volkswagen India has introduced a new ‘Flash Red’ colour option for the Virtus and Taigun in Kerala. The launch coincides with the Onam festival, a period when many customers prefer to buy new vehicles. On the first day of Chingam, the company also delivered 106 cars to mark the occasion. The new colour is available on the GT Line trim of both models. The GT Line is known for its black-themed sporty look, and the bright red shade adds to the bold design. This option is aimed at customers who prefer a more striking appearance in their cars.
Apart from the new colour, the GT Line trims of the Taigun and Virtus continue to offer a wide range of features. These include a 10.1-inch VW Play touchscreen infotainment system and an 8-inch digital cockpit. The cars ride on 17-inch black ‘Cassino’ alloy wheels and come equipped with six airbags for safety. Other features include Hill Start Assist and the Smart Touch ‘Climatronic’ automatic air conditioning system. By introducing the new shade during the festive season, Volkswagen expands the styling options for its customers in Kerala while keeping the GT Line’s premium features intact.
Mr. Nitin Kohli, Brand Director, Volkswagen India, said, “Kerala has been one of our focus markets and this year we are delighted to be celebrating the festive spirit of Onam Chingam with the introduction of this new colour. Kerala’s discerning customers have made the Virtus the highest-selling premium sedan in the state, with the sedan commanding a market share of 49 % in its segment, currently.”
