VW T-Roc has secured a full 5-star safety rating at the Euro NCAP, which is regarded as the toughest for assessing the safety aspects of a vehicle.

The video clip has been uploaded on the YouTube channel of Nikhil Rana who keeps posting such stuff to raise awareness regarding the safety aspects of popular cars and showcase their performance in unfortunate situations. This incident has been reported from Chennai where a T-Roc is seen severely damaged after driving into the rear end of a parked truck on the highway. The speed of the SUV must have been pretty high judging from the aftereffects of the entire incident. The front end of the vehicle is deformed completely and the damage has even reached the engine bay. Unfortunately, two out of four occupants couldn’t make it, while the other two are critically injured. We wish them a speedy recovery.

This incident becomes crucial in learning a few lessons for highway driving. Firstly, overspeeding continues to be the main factor involving such cases and must be avoided at all costs. This is especially true when you are travelling with your children and family, like in this case. Secondly, there must be strict action against truck drivers who park their trucks on the highways. Most of these trucks don’t have reflector lights or any other sign to make the other drivers on the road aware of their presence. That is precisely the reason for this incident too. Had there been some indication that a truck is parked on the highway, the driver of the T-Roc would have been able to adjust accordingly.
