The video clip begins in a testing environment where such tests are performed. It is an empty area where the SUV is pushed to its limits. The driver drives the off-roader at high speed and brakes suddenly. While braking, the SUV is being steered as well. This is a common case that happens on the road every day. However, the electronic stability program ensures that the vehicle doesn’t skid out of control. Many times, the wheels get locked up which is remedied by ABS but the ESP ensures that the wheels get maximum traction even under extreme conditions. This is clearly visible in the video as well. The SUV loses grip momentarily but doesn’t tip over or skid. These features come in handy in off-roading conditions where traction is the key.

Transmission options for both the powertrains are a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic with a low range box. You also get a transfer case and a mechanically locking centre differential.
