Jaguar To Assemble Cars In India Soon To Take On Mercedes Benz, BMW and Audi

Although Jaguar products fall into the same category and segment where products from Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi are in, they are considered to be a little more exclusive. Some may relate this with their high pricing but to us it is the looks and products that make the difference. Jaguars are unique and special and have their own road presence.

Despite the fact that Jaguars are pricier than their corresponding Mercedes Benz, BMW or Audi products, Jaguar lovers do not mind paying a couple of lakhs extra for owning one. But definitely the high pricing is not favorable for the sales of the brand and it has to resort to something better in order to grab more sales and give other luxury brands a run for their money.

Before Jaguar goes ahead with this assembling plan, it is planning to launch two new models which will be positioned below Jaguar XF. One of the two new models will compete with Mercedes C-Class and BMW 3-Series while the other one will target a lower segment constituting of BMW 1 Series and the to be launched Audi A3.

Before Jaguar cars hit the assembly lines, the company is considering setting up a new facility dedicated to high tech engines only. It is being said that engineers from Britain and India are working together for the development of new engines which will not only be superior in terms of emissions and performance but will also bring down the excise duty.
