  1. For the last few weeks there is news via Internet about this exchange offer for Nano Gen X with AMT technology. However, still I have not seen any publicity effort via TV or newspapers etc. that may prove the wide publicity strategy of Tata Motor. Moreover, as the old customer of Nano LX 2012 Model, I have not been contacted by TATA motor for offering exchange scheme. If this is the lazy attitude of Tata Motor, how does it think over about marketing capturing dream by Nano Gen X.
I have already given my Feed Back to Tata motor say about two years back about such type of automatic variant of Nano and when my dream come true, I except that Tata should give it wide publicity via print as well as electronic media so that each and every car owner or driver may get acquainted with creep function and AMT tech.
    Thanks, Mob. 9335478799

  2. A great invention of automatic technology by Tata Motor, should arrange for wide publicity and promotion in all manner, so that like Honda Activa, Nano Gen x is found in every home garage.

  3. I contacted Tata dealer to exchange my existing Nano Twist 2014 May model which has done 2400 KM.
Evaluator came and evaluated the car for 1.25L, which I bought for 2.75L a year ago and car is in excellent condition.
I seriously doubt they want people to exchange their old car for the new one. The main reason I was looking for exchange because
it is being used by my father and it will be easy for him to drive automatic.
I know there is a logic of depreciation and no value for road-tax and registration paid during exchange / resale , but 1.25L is a joke or Tata Motors themselves hesitating in buying back their product :).

    Thanks,
    Dhananjay

  4. Hi Dhananjay,
what you say does make a lot of sense. However, please note that manufacturers (Maruti, Hyundai, etc) tend to evaluate cars from their own brand very lowly. Why not try selling it off online, without taking the help of a dealer?

  5. Just like Dhananjayji, I also tried for exchange offer with my Brand new condition only 6,000 Km. running Nano LX-2012 silver model. They admitted that the condition of the car is very good rather excellent, however, they offered exchange value only Rs. 90,000/- (including exchange bonus of Rs.20,000/-). Very poor valuation of their own product. I have rejected their offer and now I am trying to get it re-sale on my personal basis, only to drive Automatic variant with ease. Otherwise I have no problem with my existing Nano, very trouble free vehicle.

  6. If TATA Motor really want to grow sale of Nano Gen x, they should think over handsome exchange value of old nano models. Otherwise, why people exchange with such a low price if their cars are in good condition.

  7. Tata Nano is city car and should have only automatic version on road to create a separate space in market share. Whatever version Nano launched in past, should be replaced with automatic version by providing a attractive offer to owners who trusted their brand which needed improvement.

  8. I HAVE A NANO LX OF 2011 WITH 17000KM. I AM HAPPY WITH ITS PERFORMANCE. STILL I WOULD LIKE TO EXCHANGE WITH THE LASTEST MODEL IF I GET REASONABLE EXCHANGE VALUE. I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY TATA’S MARKETING IS IS IN A NEGATIVE TRACK.

  9. I own Tata nano cox in 2012.when I decided to exchange to easy shift the evaluator value only 70000/-. I feel exchange is a joke.

  10. Those person who get offer for exchange take it. I wanna sell my old nano LX its value is around 30000 Rs ..if i get 50000 i will sell and i plan to buy new CNG car for highways.otherwise nano is best.

  11. Hi I have bought a Nano (cx) on 2011. I would like to exchange the same with an Indica. Is it possible to exchange with other Tata vehicles?
