At the 2014ย Guangzhou Auto Show, China, production version of 2015 Hyundai iX25 has been launched by South Korean automotive manufacturer, Hyundai. It is priced at 119,800 yuan ย or Rs. 11.96 lakhs in China.
Hyundai iX25 in China gets a 1.6 and 2.0 petrol engine options. The 1.6 litre engine churns out 122.8 BHP of maximum power and 150.7 Nm of peak torque, while 2.0 litre engine produces 158 BHP of ย maximum power and 192 Nm of peak torque. It gets aย 6-speed manual and an automatic transmission.ย It features leather seats, cruise control, key-less start., ESP, LED daytime running lights, panoramic sunroof, electrically folding wing mirrors, touchscreen multimedia infotainment system, automatic climate control, reverse parking camera, etc. It also features dual airbags and ABS with EBD as standard safety equipment. The ย Indian version of Hyundai iX25 might also come with a 1.6 or 2.0 litre engines drawn from Hyundai Verna.

It will compete with Ford Eco Sports and Renault Duster in India.ย Both the cars are quite popular in India, while being excellently designed on interiors and exteriors. Renault duster on one hand is powered byย 1.5 dCi engine churning out 108 BHPย of power. Ford Ecosport on the other hand is quite smaller than Duster and featuresย 89 BHP, 1.5-litre with its turbo-diesel engine. Both the cars are rugged and give an epic ride even on uneven terrain with their impressive high ground clearance. They are suitable for day-to-day driving with minimum steering requirements. Both are very refined cars giving a fun-filled driving experience. Hyundai iX25 will face stiff competition with these two rival cars.
Price and Availability
It is priced at 119,800 yuan ย or Rs. 11.96 lakhs in China. This car is expected to go on sale in China first. There is no information about its launch date in India. It is being tested on Indian roads which show that it is expected to be available in India in 2015 with similarย specifications as China.
India may also get a diesel variant with the same engine that we get on the Hyundai i20 Elite. It is expected to be priced between 7-11 lakhs in India.
