The new 2020 Hyundai i20 has started reaching dealerships and now we can confirm, it will get an electric sunroof and sporty digital cluster.

The launch of 2020 Hyundai i20 is nearing as the dealer dispatches have begun. The updated hatch will soon start reaching dealerships and we are expecting the launch towards the first week of November. Here are the latest spy shots where it has lost a lot of camouflage, revealing some juicy details about the upgrades.

Three things spotted are going to appeal to the prospective buyers. The top-end variants will get an electric sunroof, which is only offered in Honda Jazz at this moment. Also, it will get a sporty digital cluster which is seen on the new Verna facelift. All digital cluster with flashy dials and an integrated MID in between.

Lastly, it will get a DCT gearbox as an option, making it the first one in the segment to now get one. While the Polo earlier came with a dual-clutch setup, due to the BS6 norms, it was replaced by a 6-speed torque converter. The 7-speed DCT unit will be paired with the new 1.0 Litre turbo-petrol engine.

Other engine options will include a 1.5 Litre diesel engine and a 1.2 Litre petrol engine. The petrol engine will produce 83 PS, paired with a 5-speed MT and IVT. Diesel engine will produce 100 PS and 240 Nm of peak torque without the option of an automatic gearbox. The turbo motor can produce 100 PS and 175 Nm of peak torque, also available with a 6-speed iMT.

Other new features will include air purifier, bigger touchscreen infotainment system with Blue Link internet car technology, cruise control, rear AC vents, six airbags, rear parking sensors, rear parking camera and much more. Prices are expected to start off at Rs 5.5 Lakhs, ending just a little under Rs 10 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
